On this site, you can learn a little more about me, the types of clients and issues I work with, my approach to therapy, my affiliations and where I’m practicing.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), a Certified School Counselor and experienced classroom teacher. I’ve worked with children and parents in both public and private settings across the world. I work with individuals using Sandplay and other modalities, and consult with parents and families one-on-one.
I started my career as an elementary school teacher, living and teaching in California, Virginia, Germany, France, Brazil, and Italy. I returned to the United States to earn my M.Ed. in Pupil Personnel Services, and served as an Elementary School Counselor for 22 years in the Lake Washington School District. After retiring, I became a LMHC and now work with children, adolescents, and parents. I have run private social skills groups for kids since 1997 through 2019 via Wally’s Club in Seattle and under Casey’s Clubhouse in Kirkland, WA.
I continue to enjoy — and am constantly in awe of — our tenacity to grow and balance ourselves in life.
